The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is the transportation resource for the greater Des Moines region, offering the largest network of buses in the State of Iowa as well as resources for those who vanpool, walk or bike. DART is the only regional transit authority in Iowa, providing 4.4 million trips in FY 2013. Each weekday, customers board DART buses on average of 15,000 times.
