This workshop will cover recent research and thought development on how to address complex problems in our communities through partnerships between different departments and other sectors in society. Learn key ideas from a recent book by Eggers and Kettl titled “Bridgebuilders: how government can transcend boundaries to solve key problems.” Participants will have an opportunity to consider this in their own contexts.

Bio: Abby Foreman, PhD, MSW serves as the director of the Master of Public Administration program and the Dean for Social Sciences at Dordt University. She holds a PhD in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota. Her specializations include nonprofit administration and the relationship between public and private organizations in contracting and cross-sector relationships.
