You will learn about several arts, culture, and placemaking projects in Waterloo in this workshop. We will also explore how these projects engaged a wide spectrum of community members using programming and public art to revitalize places and strengthen a sense of empowerment and belonging among youth. Additional examples will showcase how communities of all sizes can utilize the arts, culture and creative placemaking strategies in community development to create their own authentic sense of place.
