Description
The Iowa Waste Exchange (IWE) is one of the nation’s premier and longest-running materials exchange programs. Established in 1990 by the Iowa Legislature, the IWE operates as a primary byproduct synergy network. Its core mission is to promote economic efficiency and environmental stewardship by matching organizations that have surplus materials or waste streams with entities that can productively reuse or repurpose them, thereby diverting valuable commodities from landfills.
