Within 60 days after the Iowa Legislature finalizes the state-level redistricting map, cities that are required to update their precincts or wards or submit verification of existing precincts/wards must submit them to the Iowa Secretary of State (SOS) office. This includes all cities with over 3,500 in population in the 2020 U.S. Census, cities with more than one precinct or only one precinct that includes areas other than the incorporated city territory, cities with wards, etc.
