Iowa Mayors Association Statewide Meetings

The Iowa Mayors Association is hosting their next statewide meeting on Thursday, January 23 at noon. The meeting will be held via zoom with details sent the day before. Must be a member of the Iowa Mayors Association to attend.

The League will kick off with a legislative update from our Government Affairs Team followed by a presentation from Brady Carney on the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy including the rules and procedures for hiring, training and certifying peace officers. This is a great chance for mayors to learn more about a key challenge facing cities of all sizes, recruitment and training of police officers. 

Join the Iowa Mayors Association to hear from the Director of the Law Enforcement Academy and ask any questions you have on the officer training and hiring.
