Solar energy has the potential to provide enormous cost savings and environmental benefits to Iowa’s cities. Solar energy systems continue to drop in cost and improve in design and efficiency. Solar can be particularly useful at a water and wastewater facility, which has high-energy demands. This presentation will discuss the practical advantages/disadvantages of solar and explore a case study of designing solar for a wastewater facility in Iowa.
