Descrition
Iowa communities face growing uncertainty about future funding streams while the need for local projects continues to rise. This session breaks down the funding ecosystem through three interconnected perspectives: municipalities that apply for and manage funds while remaining accountable to the public; funding organizations that evaluate proposals and invest in initiatives with the greatest impact; and technical experts who identify opportunities, build partnerships, and craft competitive applications.
By exploring these roles and how they intersect, we’ll uncover both challenges and opportunities in securing support for community projects. Attendees will gain practical insights into fostering collaboration among applicants, funders, and technical experts to strengthen outcomes for Iowa’s cities.
