Description

This advanced-level session is designed for participants who attended Property Tax 101 and/or have a strong understanding of Iowa’s property tax system. The discussion will focus on the impacts of recent property tax reform, including long-range budget planning, valuation changes, tax increment financing (TIF) considerations, and strategies for effectively communicating the evolving property tax landscape to governing bodies and the public. The session will be interactive and include hands-on time using Piper Sandler–developed forecasting models. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop.
