You don’t have to spend your days at the Capitol to make an impact in Des Moines. Some of the most effective advocacy happens back home, where local officials build relationships, share their community’s story, and help lawmakers understand how state policy plays out on the ground. This session will explore practical ways to connect with candidates and legislators, communicate local priorities more effectively, and stay engaged in advocacy efforts throughout the year.
