FY 2024-2025 Annual Financial Report Update – New Debt Page
House File 718 (HF 718) created a requirement to report more granular outstanding debt data in the Annual Financial Report (AFR). The Iowa Department of Management has added a new tab to the online AFR form to accommodate this new reporting requirement. This hour-long webinar will focus only on a walkthrough of the new debt reporting tab of the AFR and the information required to complete the new reporting requirements. This session is recommended for users with multiple years of experience completing the online AFR.

Annual Financial Report – Full Walkthrough
The Annual Financial Report (AFR) is a reporting of a city’s prior year actual revenues, expenditures and balances. Every city in Iowa is required to complete the AFR by December 1 each year. This webinar will provide a full walkthrough of the AFR form and discuss where to find the information necessary to complete the report from the beginning. All tabs of the AFR, including the new debt reporting tab, will be discussed in this walkthrough. This session is recommended for new and less experienced users. Choose one of the two sessions offered, as each of the two sessions will cover the same information.
