The Empower Rural Iowa Program at the Iowa Economic Development Authority currently has three grant programs accepting applications. Two existing programs, the Rural Housing Assessment Grant Program and the Rural Child Care Market Study Program, have remaining funds available for related grant purposes. Applications for each program are due January 31.
The new Rural BOOST Program is also accepting applications, with an aim to provide teams of experts to assist passionate community and business leaders in developing intentional plans for next-step growth. This pilot program is designed for rural communities, nonprofits or employers to receive personalized technical assistance for identifying and implementing action steps to launch into the next stage of success. Applications are due March 1.
