- DHS/FEMA Grants: Cities awaiting awards (AFG, FP&S, SAFER, SHSGP, UASI) need to contact their congressional offices before Sept. 30 to ensure funds are awarded and not returned to the Treasury.
- Transportation Deadlines: USDOT is enforcing Sept. 30, 2025, completion deadlines on IIJA-funded projects. No extensions are expected, so cities need to be checking grant timelines and connecting with USDOT contacts.
